Welcome to the Sportscaster Card fully searchable online database. This is without question the most fabulous set of sports cards ever created! These cards were available from 1977-79 by mail-order subscription only. Every few weeks the subscriber would receive a collection of 24 cards in the mail and have the option to continue to receive more decks by remitting payment. No complete sets were ever offered and the only way to accumulate all the cards would have been to have subscribed from day one until they were sadly discontinued in 1979, due to lack of subscribership.

In total, 91 decks with 24 Sportscaster cards in each deck were created for a very large complete set of 2,184 cards. The reverse of the cards shows the decks as numbered 01-88, and then 101-103, each with cards numbered 01-24. Decks numbered 89-100 were never created. Sets were available in Europe, the United States, and Japan, with variations in cards issued. You'll find the U.S. marketed cards featured on this web site, all printed in Italy except for a very few that were made in Japan. These cards are full of amazing photos and information engulfing a huge array of sports from around the world. Search through them and I think you'll find the essence of man's love for, and excellence in, all facets of athletic endeavors. Hopefully you enjoy Sportscaster cards as much as I do. This site is dedicated to their preservation.
